Unlearn remixes Crook's 'Lavender'
Excited to remix this epic track from Crook, and the possibilities of shaping it into a new creation! Lavender has already been selected for awards at Outfest and Transtellar Film Festival this season. More to come, including a radio edit as well as an ambient translation of this track. In the meantime, you can check out the video below, or find an engaging interview on the song's inspiration with the writer, Daniel Crook, here.
Lavender is a tale of lovers, united by attraction but distressed with the physical and moral limitations imposed on them by their own gender identities; it is their questions that inform their dance, both wild abandon and innate conflict reflect back and forth off of them in the vast empty space while the menstrual divine attempts to guide them back to themselves and to love.
